Background and objective: This study was conducted to determine the appropriate cell size, days after sowing seeds by examining growth of Hemerocallis thunbergii Baker (HTB) seedlings using plug trays.Methods: The examined in four types trays (143, 70, 18, 13 mL/cell). sown were placed a greenhouse for three repetitions per treatment. seedling measured at intervals one month sowing.Results: leaf width root length increased proportion 90 highest number observed 143 mL/cell tray, followed order 13, 70 tray. longest found trays, 143, but there no significant difference except trays. By analyzing plant water content (PWC) shoots roots, it that PWC system as size increased, compared shoots, according size.Conclusion: Compared with mL which had largest among other treatment groups, only 18 from rather longer.
